There is tension going on between China and many countries. India is no exception; recently, there have been conflicts between Indian and Chinese military. As a result, Indian People are furious, and many people have already decided never to use any Chinese products and even uninstalled the Chinese Apps from their smartphones.
Till now, everything was done on an individual level, but today India’s Ministry of Information Technology has announced that they have decided to block 59 apps, including Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Clash of Kings. The ministry has mentioned that these apps are engaged in activities that are prejudicial to India’s sovereignty and integrity, defense of India, and the security of the state and public order.
However, in the official statement the reason for the ban, it has not been mentioned that the Government has only taken down these steps against Chinese apps. But since all the apps that have been banned are Chinese products, so you know.
India is home to over 1.33 Billion people, and it’s no doubt one of the major markets in the world, especially in the mobile gaming business. Indian amounts to around 20-30% of almost all popular apps such as PUBG Mobile, COD Mobile, etc. Thus this will definitely come as a big blow to Moontown and Elex Wireless, the developers of Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Clash of Kings, respectively, as they will lose almost a quarter of their players an eye blink.
