Youtube is Hosting a Mobile Esports Tournament with $50,000 Prize Pool

We are not tired and will shout it one more time that 'Mobile Gaming is Future,' and even YouTube knows it now. YouTube Gaming just announced a mobile eSports tournament, and you might think that it might be some publicity stunt, but the prize pool is pretty serious with $50,000 USD. The company went ahead on twitter to announced that in celebration of Mobile Gaming, they will be hosting multi-mobile game tournament at the end of the week.

The tournament will feature three popular mobile games - Brawl Stars, PUBG Mobile, and Clash Royale. Some of the creators that are confirmed to be part of this tournament are Clash with Ash, Orange Juice Gaming, KairosTime, Medalcore, Lex, Her Gaming, and Powerbang Gaming (who will also be hosting this tournament). However, the prize pool money won't go to the creators, rather it will go to the charity of their choice.

As of now, there are not many details publicly revealed about this eSports event, all we know is that the event will be live-streamed on VidCon Youtube Channel on 27 August 2020 at 1 PM (CT).

However, this move from Youtube is no surprise, recently lots of mobile gamers have been shifting from Twitch to Youtube, and especially PUBG Mobile streamers have really created a massive community of millions on Youtube. Some of the top PUBG Mobile streamers easily get 100K+ concurrent viewers on their live-steams. Thus, Youtube would definitely want to keep this going.
