You may already notice that there is a blue-colored crystal hanging around at the top right corner of the home screen. That is your Blue Motes and they are something very important in the game.
I would even go as far as to say that this is one of the most important in-game currencies in the game that every player should know about.
Blue Motes are just one of the three main in-game currencies used in Wild Rift. Blue Motes are easily obtained in the game and are commonly used to purchase champions.
With more than 60 champions in the game, you will need to gather a lot of Blue Motes for you to own them all, and with more champions coming in the next few months, getting Blue Motes is going to be one of your main objectives in the game if you do not want to spend a lot of cash.
Alternative To Blue Motes
As I've mentioned above, there are three different kinds of in-game currencies used in Wild Rift, with the first one being Blue Motes. The other two are Poro Coins and Wild Cores.
Poro Coins are obtained through finishing missions and often gathered by players to open the Poro Chest, which gives more in-game rewards and items. Meanwhile, Wild Cores are the premium in-game currency and can only be bought using real money.
Wild Cores can be used to purchase champions if I do not want to grind for Blue Motes. I tend to use Wild Cores to purchase the champion that I like to play immediately. Apart from that, Wild Cores can be used to purchase skins and other loot in the game like the Wild Pass.
How To Get Blue Motes
Unlocking different champions in Wild Rift will require a lot of Blue Motes. Blue Motes can be very easy to come by if you know where to find them. Fortunately, the game offers a lot of options for players to get Blue Motes effectively.
Here are some of the things I found to be the best ways to get Blue Motes in Wild Rift.
Win More Games
Probably the most basic objective in the game is to win games. After winning the game, I get a good amount of Blue Motes, and I can check how many Blue Motes I won just before the game switches to the main scoreboard after the match.
While some might think that the Blue Motes that I earn at the end of each game is not enough, there are many things that I can do to augment and multiply how many Blue Motes I can earn after each match.
Team boosts will help me earn more Blue Motes, especially when I win a match together with my friends. The more friends I invite, the more Blue Motes I can earn. Don't worry though, you can still get Blue Motes even if you lose, but they are far less.
Check Daily And Weekly Missions
Wild Rift offers a lot of missions for players to complete either on a daily or weekly basis. Some of these missions are very easy to complete, like winning a single match or liking a player after a match or even just placing a few wards here and there while playing the game.
Once I fulfill the requirements of each mission, I receive a bit of Blue Motes, and the bar at the top of the Missions main page slowly fills up. Once it reaches a certain threshold, it rewards me with a capsule that contains even more Blue Motes.
I suggest that you keep on playing the game and complete the different missions every day until you get all three capsules.
The higher tier capsule often rewards me with a very good amount of Blue Motes, so make sure to check out the different list of missions at the Missions tab on the home screen.
Finish The Tutorial
For players who haven't played League on PC, Wild Rift gives you the basics of the game through the tutorial. The tutorial is a great place to learn the mechanics of the game and introduces you to the different aspects of Summoner's Rift.
It teaches you how to move the champion, cast skills, and learn more about Summoner Spells, combat, towers, and the Nexus. The tutorial is divided into different episodes, and each episode teaches you about a specific area in the game.
After finishing each episode, the tutorial rewards players with Blue Motes to start the game on the right foot. I collected all the Blue Motes that I have earned from playing and finishing the tutorial to purchase my first two champions in the game.
Honoring Legacy Players
Riot promised many of its PC players a smooth transition if they ever choose to play Wild Rift using their Riot accounts.
One of the promises that they made to us was to play the game in a very convenient manner so that we can catch up on the lost time, especially for those of us who have Riot accounts.
This meant that players from Riot regions who have downloaded the mobile game could quickly gather Blue Motes by just playing the game and finishing specific missions.
The rewards for these specific missions include Blue Motes for us to purchase champions in the game and different accessories like emotes and baubles.
Purchase The Wild Pass
Now, I have mentioned that if you want to earn Bue Motes without spending a dollar in the game, you can easily do so by just playing the game. I understand that many players would not want to spend money on a mobile game, but if you are one of the millions of players who wish to do so, I highly recommend that you purchase the Wild Pass, especially the Elite Wild Pass in Wild Rift.
The Wild Pass is similar to a battle pass where you unlock rewards by just playing the game, much like daily missions but with far greater and better rewards at stake. Almost every level of the Wild Pass rewards me with Blue Motes, amongst other things like the Hexplorer Jax skin and many other in-game items.
I think the Wild Pass is such a great addition to the game and offers a lot of value for such a very affordable price, and it also supports the game without giving you any strategic advantage.
