If you are low on funds or support you can opt for a shadier route by taking to the corruption screen. Just as in the real world, corruption plays a big role within the game. As a candidate, you’ll have the ability to commit campaign frauds, bribe your way into new states, suppress opposing voters and lie to your own supporters. Each of the aforementioned mechanics also come with discrete effects, that may prove detrimental while helping you get closer to the oval office.
The progression system in Campaign Trails comes in the form of challenges that a player must complete during play-throughs. After completing enough challenges, the player will be able to unlock new archetypes with different abilities and traits, requiring different strategies to reach the White House.
