Earlier, we reported about Free Fire's New Character 'Evelyn' coming with the OB23 update that is expected to release on the 25th July 2020. Today we have come up with another news of the Free Fire OB23 update that is regarding the addition of two new places to the Free Fire's Bermuda map.
As you all know, Bermuda is quite a small map in Free Fire and is the most popular map of the game. Recently, the official Facebook page of the Free Fire was shared as post, in which some secret files are shown with a 'Secret Plan' caption. But Free Fire enthusiasts leave nothing secret and revealed the Garena's secret plan.
In this post, you can see the names of 6 files i.e., New York, Factory, Peak Tokyo, Plan Bermuda, and 25.0. Each of them has a message hidden in them. Garena has called the plan of adding two places to Bermuda map as 'Plan Bermuda.' Factory and Peak are the names of places already available on the Bermuda map.
There are two new names: Tokyo and New York. All of us are familiar with these two names in real life, but in what manner are they connected with Free Fire? The developers are going to add two new places based on the 'New York' and 'Tokyo' city in the game. The sequence of files indicates the placement of places on the map.
The file named '25.0' indicates to release date of these two places to the game. As mentioned earlier, Free Fire OB23 update is expected to release on 25th July 2020, so the file names 25.0 also indicated to the 25th July.
Coming to what and where we will get to see these two new places on the Bermuda map.
Tokyo
You must be thinking, are developers going to add whole Tokyo city in the game? So it is quite impossible, the developers will be adding a famous part of the city. If you played the Fatal Blade Mode in Free Fire, you must remember temples (that are situated in the Tokyo city). We expect a similar type of temples and houses to be added to the new place.
It must be kept in mind that the name of the place is not going to be 'Tokyo.' It is just a hint on which the new place will be based on. The place will be called with a different name. Talking about placement of the new place on the map, several leaks suggest it be situated in the 'Riverside' area.
New York
Similarly, we will not get to see the whole New York city to the game. The leaks suggest that we will get to see 'Times Square' of New York. Times Square is a major commercial intersection, tourist destination, entertainment center, and neighborhood in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue.
Free Fire has teased this place in one of the trailers of its Elite Pass. Garena always gives a hint about the upcoming features of the game in a various manner. Talking about placement of the new place on the map, several leaks suggest it be situated in the 'Factory' area.
Why Garena Making Changes In Bermuda Map?
Bermuda is the most famous map of Free Fire, but there are only selected places where players prefer to drop. Various places get neglected because of the lack of loot and infrastructure. Till the time, only casual players used to play on the map, there was nothing to worry about it for the developers.
But now Free Fire has jumped into the esports sector. For a tough competition and interesting gameplay, it is required that players scatter around the map to equip themselves with the weapons before fighting. To balance the gameplay during tournaments, developers are taking this step.
