PUBG Mobile Breaks All Records, Earns Revenue Of Over $226 Million In May

PUBG Mobile, Tencent Game's groundbreaking battle royale game, has emerged as the highest-grossing mobile game in the world, for the month of May. According to a report by Sensor Tower, the Mobile app market intelligence firm, PUBG Mobile earned a revenue of over $226 million in May.

As compared to May 2019, this was an immense growth of 41%. The report also stated that a large portion of the revenue (53%) came from its Chinese users, with US (10.2) and Saudi Arabia (5.5) not far behind.

On the second position was Honor of Kings, another one of Tencent's games. Honor of Kings earned a whopping total of $204.5 in May 2020 and just like PUBG Mobile, a large portion of its revenue came from the Chinese users - about 95%. Roblox Corporation's Roblox secured the third position on the list. Here's the complete list of all the top-earning games from May 2020:

Since the entire world is on lockdown right now and people are forced to stay at home, it seems like a lot more of them have started playing PUBG Mobile, as evident by its position on the list. The game has been downloaded over 600 million times globally in just two years of its release on the mobile platform. And with Tencent constantly providing one after another great update, it looks like PUBG is here to stay for a long long time.
