Garena has announced another esports tournament of the popular mobile battle royale game 'Free Fire' that is called 'Battle Arena.' The Free Fire Battle Arena tournament is open for players of the Indian Server that includes players from India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Though Free Fire has conducted various esports tournaments, it is going to be the first-ever Free Fire tournament for Bangladesh and Nepal players.
In view of the current situation, Free Fire Battle Arena tournament is going to be available for playing from the comfort of your couches.
Registrations - FFBA 2020
Registrations of the Free Fire Battle Arena (FFBA) 2020 will be taken between 21st May 2020 to 23rd May 2020. There is no cap on the number of teams to participate. As FFBA is going to be a squad-based tournament, you can register in a team of 4 or 5. There must be 4 players in the team, and if available, you can provide a substitute (5th Player) for unavoidable circumstances.
Prize Pool - FFBA 2020
Free Fire Battle Arena offers the players a chance to win a total of 300,000 diamonds and the Free Fire Cup from the comfort of their homes. The exact distribution of prize has not been revealed, but the top prize would be of 100,000 diamonds.
Format - FFBA 2020
After registrations between 21st to 23rd May, the registered teams will participate in the Open Qualifiers. The FFBA's Open Qualifiers will take place on 24th May 2020 in an all-new dedicated Free Fire Mode called 'Free fire Cup.' The new Free Fire Cup Mode will specifically be introduced in the game for online qualifiers, and there will not be any cap on the number of participants.
All the registered teams will play online qualifiers on 24th May, and out of these teams, the top 24 teams will proceed to the next round called 'League' Stages. The criteria / Point System for selection of 24 teams have not been revealed yet, but it is expected to be a point system for kills and rankings.
In League Stages, the 24 teams will be divided into 4 groups, each consisting of 6 teams. The groups will be called A, B, C & D. In League Stages, the 24 teams will fight between 29th May to 5th June 2020. Top 2 teams from each group get direct entry in the Free fire Battle Arena 2020's Finals.
So 8 teams reach to finals from the League Stages. The teams secured 3rd to 5th rank in the League Stages from each group, participate in the Playoffs on 7th June 2020 to get a wildcard entry on the last for spots of finals. It means in playoffs; there will be a total of 12 teams out of that 4 will move to the finals making total 12 teams in the FFBA's finals.
Now, the top 12 teams selected from the League Stages and Playoffs will advance to the finals on 14th June 2020. In FFBA 2020's finals, all teams battle out for the top prize of 100,000 diamonds.
The league, playoffs, and the grand finale will be broadcast on the Free Fire Esports India YouTube and Free Fire India Official BOOYAH! Channel.
