Bethesda Account Login Is No More A Compulsion To Play DOOM and DOOM II on Nintendo Switch
Everyone was super excited when Bethesda Announced that all the Classic DOOM Games will be made available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. However, it was no less than a slap in the face when the players found out that it was a compulsion to login via a Bethesda.net account to play DOOM and DOOM II.

The community did raise its voice against it, and as result, Bethesda soon realized that they have to do something to satisfy the gamers. They said that the login requirement was meant to be optional and in the latest update, they have fixed this issue and there is no need to log in with Bethesda.net accounts anymore, to enjoy the Classic Doom Games.
We are working on a more permanent fix to further reduce the visibility of the optional login. We do not have an estimated release just yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we can. Thank you for your feedback!
